Run Program Task Dialog
You use the Run Program Task dialog to configure a Task which
involves running an external program. The following sections
explain the function and configuration of each field in the
dialog.
Task ID
This field is generated by the application. It is the unique
numeric identifier that the program uses to keep track of each
Task. No configuration is necessary.
File Action
This field displays the type of Task that you are currently
configuring.
Task Name
Use this field to give a unique name to the Task that you are
currently configuring. Make sure to name your Tasks in a way that
will easily identify them in the Task list window.
Task Description
Use this field to give a more detailed description of the Task that
you are currently configuring.
Program File Name
Use this field to set the program that the Task is going to run.
Click the Browse button to select a program file that is on the
local computer. The program file that will be run must reside on
the local computer. You may also type a valid folder path into the
field directly.
Command Line Parameters
(Optional)
Use this field to set the parameters that are required for the
external program to be run successfully. Refer to the program's
documentation for further information on how to set these
parameters. These parameters will be passed to the program when it
is launched.
Maximum Program Run Time
Use this field to set the maximum amount of time that you want to
allow the external program to run. After this time period has
passed, the program will be terminated and processing of Tasks that
occur after this one will continue.
