Settings

You use the Settings tab to edit the general properties of the application. If you modify any of the properties on the tab, make sure to click the Save button to save the changes. The following sections explain the function and configuration of each field on the tab.

License Key
The NTS File Mover is licensed on a per computer basis. You need to purchase a license for each computer on which you will use the application. Each license key is unique and will enable the software to run only on the computer for which it was generated. Use the Edit Key button to modify your license information. Copy the license key that you have (all the characters) and paste it into the license key field in the dialog box. Then, click Save.

Start Tab
Use this select list to specify which tab will be displayed when you first open the application.

Outbound (SMTP) Email Server
Use these settings to specify which email server the application will use for sending emails. Enter the host name of the email server (e.g mail.company.com) or its IP address.

Smtp User
Some Smtp servers will not send email unless it is coming from an authenticated user. If your email server requires you to login before sending email, you need to select that login account from this dropdown list. You can add the account if it does not already exist. If your email server does not require you to login, select None from the list.

Log Email From Address
If you are emailing job log files, select the email address that you want to use as the email From Address. You can add the email address if it does not already exist. If you are not emailing job log files, select None from the list.

Log File Folder Path
Use this field to set the folder in which the application will create the job log files. Click the Browse button to select a local or network folder. You may also type a valid folder path into the field directly. If you will be creating the files in a location on the network, make sure to use a UNC path (e.g. \\server_name\share_name) rather than a mapped drive letter (e.g. S:\share_name) because the NTS File Mover will not be able to access the folder by drive letter when the Job is run by the scheduler due to the constraints of the Windows operating system.

Log File Name Date Format
Use this selection to set the format of the date part of the file name for job log files. Selecting MMDDYYYY will create job log files that are named similar to: Job Name_10192006_073002.html for a job run on October 19th, 2006 at 7:30:02 AM. Selecting DDMMYYYY will create job log files that are named similar to: Job Name_19102006_073002.html for a job run on October 19th, 2006 at 7:30:02 AM.
