The NTS File Mover is a simple and powerful way to automate your repetitive file tasks.
Here's how you use the application. Let's say you need to ftp a file from your computer to a remote
ftp server every Monday and Thursday.
To do this ftp upload, you need to create a Ftp Upload Task. On the Tasks tab, you click Add Task.
Here is how you would create the Task that does the ftp upload:
You can rename any file at its destination:
You can add a timestamp to any destination folder:
You can limit the files to be processed by the task by using a date range filter:
You can select the files to be processed by the task in a number of ways:
You can use a file mask to limit the files to be processed by the task:
You can create many other Tasks as well. For example, maybe you want to encrypt the file and then email it
to a group of people. After you have created these Tasks, you need to create a Job. On the Jobs tab, click
Add Job.
Here is how you would create the Job that encrypts, ftps, and emails the file:
Once you have created the Job, you need to schedule it so that it will run automatically. On the Job
Schedules tab, click Add Schedule.
Here is how you would create the Job Schedule:
That's it! As you can see, you can automate your repetitive file tasks with a few clicks of the mouse
using the NTS File Mover.
