One of the key advantages of using the to the Noonmark Secure File Sharing and Storage System
is that you can keep control over who has access to the sensitive documents that
you are making available on the web. Security is built into the system in four key ways:
1. To access to the system, you must have a valid user account:
2. Each User Account has a number of settings that control what the user can do.
Users can be given access to upload and/or download files and/or view reports. Users
can also be allowed to delete and copy files. Finally, each user account can also be set
to expire on a certain date:
3. Each User is assigned to one or more Customers (or Projects). If the user
has access to a particular Customer (or Project), he/she will be able to
upload files to the Customer (or Project) and view files that are assigned to
the Customer (or Project). If the user does not have access
to a particular Customer (or Project), he/she will not even know that
the Customer (or Project) exists!
4. Files are kept safe from prying eyes during uploads and downloads by 128 bit SSL encryption
(the same security that financial and e-commerce websites use).
While being stored on the server, files are kept secure by being encrypted with 128 or 256 bit
AES encryption. No one will ever be able to browse the contents of any file stored
in the system without a valid user account and the appropriate system permissions.
