The Secure Web File Sharing System is designed around the idea that the files
being shared are associated with a specific Project (or Customer or Prospect or Employee).
When initially setting up the system (and whenever else as new needs arise),
the system administrator creates one or more Projects (or Customers or Prospects or Employees).
When a file is uploaded into the system, it is assigned to one or more of these
Projects (or Customers or Prospects or Employees):
Each Project (or Customer or Prospect or Employee) has a number of key settings:
-
File Retention - You can set how long you would like to store files for the
Project (or Customer or Prospect or Employee) on the server. When the expiration date that
you set has passed for a file, the file will be automatically deleted from the system by a
scheduled process.
-
Maximum Upload Size - You can set the maximum individual file upload size and the maximum size of
the total upload for the Project (or Customer or Prospect or Employee). These settings allow
you to control the use of server resources.
-
File Encryption - You can set whether the files will stored encrypted on the server to meet
security or regulatory requirements. The system uses AES encryption with 128 or
256 bit keys. (While files are in transit, they are protected by SSL encryption.)
You can configure an upload notification email for each Project (or Customer or Prospect or Employee).
You can add the email addresses of System Users to the list of people who will
be informed when new files have been uploaded into the system for the
Project (or Customer or Prospect or Employee):
